FEATURED PERFORMANCES

Damani Alfreida is a passionate performing artist and creative reigning from Paterson, NJ. She holds her BFA in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University where she studied a variety of contemporary and modern techniques. Damani has performed in works such as Trio A by Yvonne Rainer and Bill T.Jones' Freedom Of Information. Other works include Concerto Six Twenty Two by Lar Lubovitch as well as March Under an Empty reign by Donna Uchizono, both performed at the Joyce Theater in NYC. In August of 2019, Damani made her Broadway debut in the Tony award winning musical, Hadestown, as one of their vacation swings. Joining this magical cast allowed her the opportunity to perform in the 93rd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC. Aside from performing, Damani takes pride in her creative abilities including directing and choreographing for screen dance and other projects. She recently founded and co-organized an arts festival held in Paterson in efforts to bring art into the community Damani is most proud of her uniqueness as a black creative and her versatility within the art of dance.
